Aashna is an emerging contemporary visual artist in Melbourne who hails from an Indian background. As a child she viewed the universe like a kaleidoscope – with ever-changing, delightfully diverse forms and colors continuously dancing with each other. Her artistic inclinations had their roots nourished further by her talented mother and grandmother. Learning under multiple renowned artists from her hometown, Pune, not only honed her skills but also led to her first solo exhibition at the age of 13.  

  

Her paintings are made with a confluence of head and heart connected with the elements of the universe. She specializes in abstract art, primarily using acrylics. Thus, her artistic expressions are vibrant, emotional, and often feature the dynamic and lively essence of neon colors. Parallelly Aashna also enjoys working with gouache, watercolors, and oils. Her work continues to evolve as she is currently studying for a Diploma of Visual Arts at RMIT University.
